Sheldon, David P.

David Sheldon’s strong background in computer science and technical experience in software engineering helps him assist his software industry clients with patent drafting, prosecution, and counseling.  David’s technical expertise includes technologies such as encryption, wireless communication, information search and retrieval, digital signal processing, and social networking platforms.  David also advises his clients on other vital issues relating to software products, including copyright, terms of use, and licensing.

David’s patent prosecution experience includes a wide variety of other technical fields as well, such as medical and mechanical devices/processes.  David has also counseled and assisted clients with issues in other areas of intellectual property law, including trademark, rights of publicity, and property within virtual worlds.

Prior to joining COJK, David worked in various computing-related roles, including designing and coding software testing utilities for Microsoft.
