Claire Hawkins helps businesses and artists build, manage, and leverage their intellectual property assets. She provides a full range of counseling, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and dispute resolution services . Her practice has developed particular expertise in resolving trademark and domain name disputes and crafting cooperative agreements to protect, expand, and strengthen intellectual property rights. Claire has practiced intellectual property law with Christensen O’Connor Johnson KindnessPLLC since 2001, and is currently co-chair of the Trademark Practice Group.
Her clients include Barleans’, the City of Olympia, FabJob, Grain Millers, Icicle Seafoods, Pacific Foods of Oregon, PlayNetwork, Seattle City Light, Totally Chocolate, University Child Development School, VillageReach, and Zumiez. She has also worked extensively on behalf of Nintendo of America, Amazon.com, and numerous entrepreneurs, musicians, artists, and writers.
Claire provides pro bono intellectual property and other legal services to local non-profit organizations such as the Seattle Symphony, and Shunpike; a Seattle organization dedicated to promoting local art by providing assistance to local artists. She was also on the board of the King County Washington Women Lawyers for several years, and president of that organization in 2005.
