Copyright Office Proposes New Online Registration System

As part of an ongoing effort to improve the copyright system, the U.S. Copyright Office announced that it will be developing a new modernized online registration system to meet the demands of the digital age. The new system, which will replace the current electronic system known as "eCO," aims to improve the user registration experience, increase the efficiency of the Copyright Office, and reduce the processing time for registration. The Copyright Office is currently seeking public comment on ways to improve the registration system and its infrastructure during the modernization process.
