The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced that on June 19, 2018, it will issue patent number 10 million, and in doing so, will also launch their new patent cover design.  The announcement was released via the Director's Forum blog on June 14, by USPTO Director Andrei Iancu.  "More than just a number, this patent represents one of ten million steps on a continuum of human accomplishment launched when our Founding Fathers provided for intellectual property protection in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8 of our Constitution," wrote Iancu.  An image of the new patent cover and the director's blog is available at  the USPTO Director's Forum.
