On April 26, 2018, organizations and individuals worldwide observed World Intellectual Property Day.  Established in 2000 by the World Intellectual Property Organization, this annual celebration aims to raise awareness of how intellectual property rights impact daily life, and to recognize the contributions made by creators and innovators to the development of societies around the world.  World IP Day 2018, “Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity,” highlighted the important and inspiring contributions that women innovators are making globally and how these remarkable achievements are driving change in the world and shaping the future.
