COJK and nine members of the firm were recognized in the 11th annual publication of the International Asset Management (IAM) guide, IAM Patent 1000 — The World’s Leading Patent Professionals. The guide names COJK to the list for Washington state in all three categories considered: patent prosecution, litigation, and transactions, and places COJK among the top four firms in the state for patent prosecution. As a result of IAM’s research, the firm received high praise as the guide notes, “COJK’s lawyers demonstrate exceptional technical prowess and are extremely patient and helpful in explaining complex legal issues. They are without exception professional, well organized and a pleasure to work with.” Attorneys John Denkenberger, Rhys Lawson, Brian McMahon, Adrian Mihailovic, Jerry Nagae, Melissa Nowak, George Renzoni, David Sheldon, and Brandon Stallman were recognized by the guide for their skills in patent law.
IAM Patent 1000 identifies leading firms and individuals in the patent prosecution, transactions, and litigation fields around the world. The guide was compiled following an extensive research process over a five-month period, which included thousands of interviews with in-house professionals and private practice and attorneys based in dozens of countries to gather market intelligence on the leading lawyers in the field. Firms and individuals qualify for a listing on the basis of their depth of expertise, market presence, and the level of work on which they are typically engaged.
