COJK attorney Tim Billick participated in the panel discussion, "Intellectual Property Fundamentals for Creators," as part of a series of workshops at the annual GeekGirlCon convention. The panelists addressed intellectual property topics that relate to creators in the gaming and entertainment industry, including trademarks, copyrights, domains, fair use, legal disputes, licenses and agreements, publicity rights, and parody. GeekGirlCon is a non-profit organization that aims to empower women to pursue their passions in the areas of science, technology, art, comics, literature, and game design and play. The convention took place from November 15 - 17, 2019 at the Washington State Convention Center.
