The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced the appointment of Thomas Krause as the new deputy general counsel for intellectual property (IP) law and solicitor. Mr. Krause will replace Joseph Matel, who was named to the position in 2017.  As deputy general counsel and solicitor, Mr. Krause will represent the USPTO in court and provide advice on IP-related policies and regulations.
