COJK is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time receptionist position. Strong receptionist candidates will be professional and possess strong organizational and communication skills, and a desire to produce a quality work product.

We are seeking a professional-minded individual who will serve as the first contact at the firm for those that visit in person or call into the office. While general clerical skills are desirable, motivated individuals with the ability to learn quickly, adapt and be flexible, and communicate well are recommended to apply. The position is primarily conducted during office hours, but flexibility in scheduling is necessary at times. This position requires an individual to be able to lift at least 25 pounds.


  • Greet clients, vendors, and other visitors to the firm and coordinate meeting with appropriate COJK representative
  • Manage incoming calls on multiline phone system and direct to appropriate recipients
  • Process incoming physical and electronic legal documents
  • Organize meetings, including scheduling and confirming conference room or restaurant reservations, arranging for audio visual services, placing food and beverage orders as needed, and coordinating the necessary set-up
  • Maintain pertinent visitor records and validate parking
  • Perform various research requests, retrieve references for legal staff, and translate documents using Google Translate
  • Maintain, order, and stock on-site beverage and food supplies
  • Maintain and edit client contact information
  • Serve as primary contact with building management regarding building-related issues, such as janitorial services and security needs
  • Assist other administrative staff with overflow work, including word processing, marketing, data entry, and internet research tasks


  • Ability to present a calm and pleasant demeanor in a professional office environment to greet in-person visitors, manage incoming calls, and assist COJK colleagues as needed
  • General clerical skills, including written and verbal communication, typing or “keyboarding,” answering phone, knowledge of Outlook, and experience with basic office machinery
  • Ability to work with a multiline phone system
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to be flexible and manage multiple projects at the same time
  • A self-starter who will seek out opportunities to help/support whenever possible
  • Ability to work within a team environment
