Kelsey Cloud is a law clerk at COJK working with the firm’s trademark practice group, devoting her time to the drafting of trademark applications, trademark office action responses, letters of protest, cease and desist letters, and trademark agreements, as well as conducting trademark search and verification. Kelsey's experience extends to the drafting, review, and negotiation of intellectual property licenses, master service agreements, vendor agreements, data processing agreements, marketing agreements, privacy policies, terms of use, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Prior to joining COJK, Kelsey was an in-house legal intern at two Seattle-area software companies, where she aided with commercial contract drafting and negotiating, legal research and writing, and trademark portfolio development and management, as well as consulted with the companies regarding compliance with privacy, marketing, and intellectual property laws. Kelsey was also a legal intern at an entertainment law firm, where she protected and commercialized intellectual property through preparing trademark applications, as well as developing artist management agreements, recording contracts, and publishing agreements. Prior to law school, Kelsey worked closely with multinational music companies, record labels, music venues, production companies, and other entities in the entertainment industry to promote and commercialize artists’ intellectual property, manage royalties, and secure music distribution rights.

Kelsey, a 3L at the University of Washington School of Law, is currently the online editor of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts and a clinician of the Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic. Kelsey was also a member of the Sports/Entertainment Law Association, serving as vice president of entertainment; the Cyber Law Association of Washington, serving as financial manager; the Technology Law Society, where she was a 1L and 2L representative; and the Women’s Law Caucus.
