Matt Ruppel is a law clerk in the firm's life sciences practice group where he focuses his time on the drafting of patent applications for chemistry related innovations.

Matt is currently a 1L at Seattle University School of Law, with an expected graduation date of May 2024. He has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a Master of Science in analytical chemistry. Prior to attending law school, Matt was a high school teacher for six years, teaching the subjects of chemistry, earth sciences, physics, and English. Matt is a co-author of 13 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of science and technology. He also has experience with basic software programming, is a professional photographer, and is basic conversational in Japanese.
