Adrian Mihailovic, a member in the firm's computer science and electrical engineering practice group, focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical and mechanical technologies. Adrian also performs due diligence analysis, including patentability opinions, infringement analysis, freedom-to-operate opinions, and patent licensing analysis. He brings to his practice significant interdisciplinary patent prosecution experience. His particular areas of technical expertise are electronics, semiconductors, manufacturing technologies, alternative energy, and medical devices. Representative client technologies include electronic instruments, antennas, wireless data transfer, semiconductor test and packaging, MEMS, solar energy, unmanned vehicles, medical implants and devices, and cryptography. Adrian also has extensive experience in design patents for hand-held instruments and computer control devices.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Adrian worked as an engineer and program manager at Schlumberger Test and Measurement Systems and at Intel Corporation. While at Intel, he was with the Logic Technology Development group, developing the next generation robotic technologies for back-end semiconductor manufacturing test, packaging, and burn-in. Adrian has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and an M.S. in electrical engineering.
