Matthew Balint, a member at COJK, brings to his practice a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in the field of aviation. His technical experience includes over 15 years of aircraft design as a structural engineer for The Boeing Company. Matt's design experience includes new commercial aircraft design, as well as manufacturing support of existing product lines.

Matt's patent practice involves patent procurement, due diligence, opinions, reexamination, and agreements, with an emphasis on mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies. His practice extends to providing litigation support for both design patent and utility patent infringement cases, including prefiling investigation, claim construction, infringement and invalidity opinions, reexamination, and inter partes reviews, as well as reviewing and responding to expert reports and discovery requests.

Matt received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, and his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Washington.
