Taylor Fairchild is an associate in the firm's patent practice group, where she devotes her time to drafting patent applications related to biochemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering technologies. Her experience includes drafting patent materials on technologies related to wastewater treatment, electronics, manufacturing technologies, and mechanical devices. Taylor also has experience with design patents, particularly in the areas of cosmetics and packaging. Taylor's technical experience extends to software coding and general purpose-programming languages, such as Python.
Prior to going to law school, Taylor was a lab technician providing R&D support at consumer products company Alaffia. Taylor holds a B.S. degree in biochemistry from The Evergreen State College, a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. While in law school, Taylor served as a 1L board member of the Innocence Project Northwest (IPNW) and was a 1L mock trial quarter finalist. She currently serves as the treasurer of the Washington Innocence Project, a state chapter of the former IPNW. Taylor was also an intern at the Northwest Anti-Defamation League in the summer of 2013.
