Jessica Kerlee is a law clerk at COJK, where she spends her time drafting applications related to innovations in life sciences and engineering fields. Combining her experience in chemistry, physics and engineering, Jessica collaborates with attorneys at the firm on patent matters related to biomedical engineering, materials science, and related engineering technologies.
Jessica is a rising 3L at Gonzaga University School of Law, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She obtained a Master of Science degree in materials science and engineering, magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering, cum laude, from Arizona State University. Before going to law school, Jessica was an engineer at Intel in the substrate packaging technology department, where she was involved in R&D, quality control, and safety issues. Prior to this experience, Jessica worked as an engineering intern at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she was involved in creating medical devices to improve physicians’ diagnoses, surgery preparation, efficiency, and precision.
