COJK is pleased to announce the addition of new associate Jonathan G. Tamimi. Jon joins the firm’s litigation practice group, where he will focus his practice on defending clients' intellectual property rights. Jon has experience with a wide variety of patent litigation matters in courts across the country, including matters in California, Texas, Delaware, and Virginia District Courts, the International Trade Commission, and appeals at the Federal Circuit. He utilizes his engineering background and industry experience to assist clients with disputes involving a variety of technologies, including telecommunications, DRAM and flash memory, computer software and hardware, and medical devices. Jon is also a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Jon joins COJK from California-based IP litigation firm Tensegrity Law Group, LLP. Prior to entering the legal profession, Jon worked as a process engineer in the petrochemical and biochemical industries before becoming an air quality engineer. Jon earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2015. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2009, where he graduated in the top eight percent of his class.
