COJK is pleased to announce the addition of new associate Kyle E. Yarberry. Kyle joins the firm’s mechanical engineering and litigation practice groups, where he will focus his practice on U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, and provide support to the litigation team. Kyle brings to the firm a diverse IP background, with experience that includes patent preparation, prosecution, licensing, and opinions; as well as post-grant patent proceedings and IP litigation.
“We are excited to have Kyle join the team,” said John Denkenberger, co-managing member of the firm and head of the litigation practice group. “His experience in patent law and IP litigation, together with his engineering background, makes Kyle an exciting addition to the firm.”
Kyle joins COJK from the intellectual property firm Brinks Gilson & Lione. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kyle worked in the finance industry, providing lending services to clients in the energy sector. Kyle received his B.S. degree, cum laude, in mechanical engineering and mathematics from Southern Methodist University, and earned his J.D. degree, with a Certificate of Merit in trademark law, from the University of Michigan Law School. Kyle is also a patented inventor, holding two U.S. patents in the field of mechanical engineering.
