Session one of COJK's four-part workshop, "Protecting Your Intellectual Property," discusses patent law fundamentals.  Understanding patents can be tricky.  Knowing when to pursue a patent is an important business decision for any entrepreneur, and understanding what issues other parties' patents may raise is a key skill.  This session will provide an overview of what patents are, how they can be used both for you and against you, how to get your own patent, and how to deal with recent changes enacted by the America Invents Act.  COJK attorneys David Sheldon and Casey Fitzpatrick will present.
